Meet your therapist

I want therapy to feel steady.

A space that stays respectful and grounded, where you can look at what is happening in your life without pressure, without judgement, and without the sense that you should have arrived already sorted.

Neurodivergent & queer affirming

This practice is built on a simple belief. That meaningful change happens in relationship, through connection and care, and at a pace that is yours to set.

My approach

Collaborative, and led by you.

Therapy with me is collaborative and led by you. It is grounded in respect and curiosity rather than assessment, and it moves at your pace, especially around anything that feels vulnerable to put into words.

I do not treat therapy as something that fixes people. We work alongside each other to understand your experiences in context, make sense of the patterns you were taught, and support the changes that feel meaningful to you.

What I value

Four things shape how I work.

Justice

Therapy is never neutral. It is always political. I name the systems that shaped how you came to see yourself, rather than locating the fault in you, and I work to interrupt the neglect that so many neurodivergent and queer people have met in other places.

Connection

Healing happens in relationship, especially when you have learned to mask, perform, or people-please. We go at your pace, particularly around disclosures, and you do not have to perform being a good client.

Learning

If I do not know something, I say so, and I look into it. I stay current on the overlap between neurodivergence and chronic illness. Your lived experience is expertise I listen to.

Enjoyment

When you have spent years masking and trying your hardest, enjoyment is often the first thing to go. Your passions and interests are welcome here. So is humour, quiet contentment, and rest that actually fills your tank.

I am a queer, AuDHD, feminist therapist and educator. Before I started therapy, my life felt chaotic. In some areas I was doing well, and keeping that up took everything I had. Underneath that, I was exhausted, coping in ways that made sense at the time and cost me later. I had no real sense of who I was, and I kept ending up in relationships that repeated in ways I couldn't see yet.

Weekly, long-term therapy changed real things for me. It helped me move through trauma I had carried for a long time, and as each layer settled, the next thing underneath came into view.

What was underneath, it turned out, was my neurodivergence. It took a long time to recognise, partly because the people helping me weren't taught how it shows up in someone like me. Learning this about myself and finding the right support for it was the turning point. It gave me the steadiness to get answers about my body, from a healthcare system that had dismissed me before.

So I know what it is to be helped enormously and still go unseen in the ways that matter most. That is the work I trained to do differently. Steady, unhurried, neurodiversity-affirming therapy, held in a practice built to sustain it rather than burn through the person offering it. It is also why I now support other therapists to learn to recognise what mine could not.

Who you'll be in touch with

One therapist, start to finish.

You work with me as your therapist, start to finish. The relationship is the work, so it stays with one person.

Behind the practice, Yasmin keeps things running so the admin never lands on you or eats into the therapeutic space. She's here to support you with scheduling, questions, payments and the practical side of getting started and staying settled.
